Equipping & Deployment Center for MAEB

MAEB is an acronym for Missão Aliança Evangélica do Brasil which stands for The Evangelical Alliance Mission of Brazil.  MAEB was begun in May 2004 by two missionaries with TEAM, Dr. Bill Bacheller and Dr. Timothy Evans together with a number of Brazilian pastors and businessmen. The Brazilian mission has two active ministries: Deployment and Oasis Counseling Ministries.

A third part of the Vision God gave us for MAEB has been to not only deploy Brazilian missionaries, but to mobilize the Brazilian Church for missions, and to equip those who have a call to cross-cultural missions. Often times many people will have a passion to take the gospel overseas, but their zeal quickly dissipates when the difficulties come...language barriers, interpersonal conflict, missing friends and family "back home", and the list goes on. We North Americans who serve in Brazil know the struggles a missionary faces on the mission-field. Our desire is to see that these Brazilians who are called to this cross-cultural ministry get the proper training they need to remain on the mission-field and be effective in ministry.

In order for us to effectively train these missionary candidates, we need to have a physical location to do so. We have bounced around different places, either renting or depending on the generosity of believers in the local churches. MAEB began with no central office; rather, in six years we’ve occupied four different locations and are today in need of a place that gives us credibility. The land and buildings that were initially purchased by MAEB.

We are asking God for: wonderfully provided a place for the counseling ministry of MAEB to begin. The undeveloped half of the property was laid aside for the MAEB Campus. We feel the Lord leading us to put down our roots into one location and build our "Campus". This is our current initiative: to grow our campus so we can be more effective in mobilizing in the churches for missions, equipping these new missionary candidates, and deploying them into effective, lasting ministry.

Please pray with us that the Lord would do this might work! We are trusting Him in faith! If you have interest in seeing this come to fruition, please contact Benjamin Bacheller or Tim Evans.
