Oasis Counseling Center

Located in Anápolis, Goías, Oasis was founded as part of MAEB by TEAM missionary Bill Bacheller and Brazillian missionary Enoque Faria, in July, 2005. With over 150 missionary agencies, 10,000 transcultural missionaries, and a population of over 15,000 evangelical pastors there is a gargantuan task of ministering to the needs of these "wounded soldiers". Oasis’s vision statement is “To counsel missionaries, pastors, and their families so that they remain in their ministries longer and healthier”. Currently, in its seven year existence we have counseled 352 missionaries and pastors from 26 Brazilian sending agencies, and 11 denominations. We are the only evangelical counseling center in the nation that has as its goal to serve pastors and missionaries exclusively. Prayer and planning are in its initial stages for a second counseling center in Northeast Brazil, with a staff of two therapists, two pastoral counselors, and an administrator.

One Project under this Initiative is to finish building the director's house who guides and directs Oasis. Approximate cost remaining: US$50,000.
